Description

Welcome to Rockport Birding & Kayak Adventures! Whether Birding, Kayaking, Dolphin Watching, Sunset Cruising, Private Charters, or just getting out on the bay is your mission, you have come to the right place. Our goal is to provide a professional operation and a unique experience that you won't soon forget. Our Flagship vessel Skimmer was built to navigate the shallow waters of Aransas and surrounding bays and will allow you to enjoy the natural wonders that our area has to offer. Quiet environmentally friendly Honda four stroke outboards get you places that no other high capacity vessel can. Whooping Crane Tours into the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge are our specialty from November through April. We will typically get within 100 yards of these magnificent rare birds allowing you ample time to watch them feeding on blue crabs in their natural habitat. A typical trip will produce 30 to 60 other species of birds and other wildlife. Our experienced professional crew will point out and teach you to identify these wonderful creatures. We will depart Fulton Harbor in search of Atlantic Bottle-nosed Dolphin. We spend time watching these amazing creatures very close as they feed behind the shrimp boats. This is also a great opportunity to learn how our local shrimp are caught. Sunset Cruise: Departure Time: Varies 7:00 to 7:30 - We head over to the smooth protected waters along the San Jose Island shoreline to see birds and other wildlife and then watch the sunset over the bay. As we make our way back to the harbor, the lights of Rockport start to appear and twinkle on the horizon signaling the end of a perfect day. Kayak rental, guided and unguided trips.

Directions

From Corpus Christi: Take State Highway 35 N towards Portland. Do not take any Rockport exits. The highway will end and come to a "T", turn Right. Go Straight through the light and continue until you come to the water. Look left and you will see the Skimmer a few slips down. From the North (Houston, Galveston, Aransas NWR): Take Highway 35 South and you will cross Copano Bay over a long bridge. After approximately 5 miles you will come to the first traffic light at Cactus Street, turn left and continue until you come to the water. Look left and you will see the Skimmer a few slips down.
