Description
Welcome to our beautiful Tennessee Guest Ranch! It is time for you to round up the family and gallop on over to the Tennessee Guest Ranch in the beautiful foothills of Tennessee! Each guest receives their very own Guest Ranch Horse at check-in! Our family can not wait to share our Southern hospitality, gorgeous mountain-valley views, and our beautiful horses with you and your whole family! Your unbelievable horse experience is just a 45 min gallop north of Chattanooga TN on our family owned and operated guest ranch. You will find that our family owned and operated guest ranch is able to provide lower prices than most other ranches while offering exclusive semi-private and private ranch stays for your family. That is right! Semi-private or private family ranch vacations! Our ranch only hosts a maximum of 8-10 riding guests at a time so this means that there are only 2 to 3 families at the ranch at a time! Our US and International guests are always thrilled with their incredible horse experience and Southern hospitality at the Sequatchie Valley B&B Guest Ranch in Tennessee! Since you may have found out about our ranch through other web based travel companies, you may not have actually visited our Official Guest Ranch website. After reviewing the info below, please be sure to visit our web site for more information and photos of our Guest Ranch and a peak at some of our beautiful Guest Ranch Horses. So what is a day like at the Tennessee Guest Ranch? Well, first of all you better keep your boots by your bed because you will be up at the crack of dawn...really! When the rooster crows it is time to feed your horse, groom him and clean out his hooves ... and that is all before breakfast! When the breakfast bell rings ... come and get it! Or come and fix it, we should say! That is because here at the ranch you will be eatin like the ranchers and cowboys did out west in the ole days ... with a few modern conveniences of course! Yep, you will be rolling your own oats, grinding your own grains, and maybe even milking the cow! After breakfast, it is time to mount up and hit the trail (or the training arena)! The first day of your vacation will actually be training on the ranch with two separate riding sessions ... one after breakfast and the other after lunch! The horsemanship training is excellent, the views - whether in the ring or on the trail - are in incredible! Starting on the second day, do not forget to pack your saddle bags for our river side lunch and Bible study on the trail! That is right, while relaxing river side during lunch your family will also enjoy learning what the Bible has to say about horses! Did you know there are over 200 scriptures relating to horses in the Bible? You will be amazed at what God has to say about one of His most magnificent creatures ... the Horse! After lunch and relaxation at the river it is time to mount up and move em out ... back to the ranch or farther down the trail! When your day in the saddle is over, there is still plenty of work to be done! Back at the ranch you will take care of your beautiful steed by grooming him, cleaning out his hooves and feeding him. Depending on the season your horse may even need a quick bath! At the end of the day you will enjoy a Southern home-cooked dinner on the old Johnson Dairy Farm at the Cookie Jar Cafe or some delicious country hand-pulled BBQ at one of our towns quaint family owned restaurants (all included in your guest ranch stay!). Your family will love our down home Southern Tennessee Hospitality! With only 1-3 families booked at the ranch at any given time, you will not only feel like part of the family, but you and your guest ranch horse will receive all the individualized attention you need to make your horse experience a memory that will last a life time! Book your familys vacation for a minimum of 2 days of riding or a full ranch week of 5 days of riding. Extra Bed & Breakfast nights only (no riding) can be added to increase your stay to a 6 or 7 night stay at the ranch. STAYING 4 DAYS?: If you are staying 4 or 5, roping lessons can be included (at no additional charge). Learning to rope our fake metal cow from aboard your guest ranch horse is quite a challenge and a whole new cowboy experience for the family! STAYING 5 DAYS?: If your family is staying 5 days at the ranch we will plan on ridin south, down through the valley to enjoy lunch at the Cookie Jar Cafe on the Old Johnson Dairy Farm. That is right, it is a horseback ride to the restaurant! SUNDAY CHURCH RIDE: Our favorite day at the ranch is Sunday! That is because we actually pack our Bibles in our saddle bags and ride our horses to church! This quaint historical country church on the river welcomes us in our blue jeans and horse dander! This is a great end to a week long vacation or it can be part of a 3 day or more vacation. To participate in this special program we ask that our guests have at least a minimum of 2 days experience at the ranch with their Guest Ranch Horse before departing on our Sunday ride to church. This means that you would need to arrive no later in the week than Thursday. Our standard check in time is 5 PM. Guests wishing to stay for longer than the five riding days can add on ‘Bed & Breakfast Only Stays’ (no riding). These guests enjoy many other activities on their ‘non riding’ days, just a 45 minute drive from the ranch in the beautiful riverside town of Chattanooga, TN! Visit Ruby Falls, Look Out Mountain, Rock City, the Incline Railroad, Civil War tours, Tennessee River Eco tours or a visit to the famous Tennessee Aquarium in the heart of the river town city! Those looking for more rugged outdoor adventures on their non-riding days enjoy mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, canoeing, hangliding, rock climbing, and caving! BEST OF ALL, BUILD A VACATION TO FIT YOUR FAMILY BUDGET! All of our ‘Guest Ranch Stay’ fees are priced per person per day and include everything your family will need for the perfect horse vacation! Including: Your very own Guest Ranch Horse; 3 meals per day & snacks; private sleeping accommodations (standard bedroom or deluxe family suite); a professional riding instructor; an all day horsemanship program designed for the riding skills and needs of your family; a different riding experience each day through the gorgeous Sequatchie Valley...complete with a 'saddlebag lunch’ and a ‘riverside Bible study’ (all about horses) while on the trail!
