Description

Apr-May: horseback pack trips into the canyon of the Ancients Natl Monument & Anasazi culture/heritage trips. Jun-Aug: horseback pack trips into the Weminuche Wilderness. Daily horseback excursions, hiking, fishing, photography, wildlife. Jul or Aug: we do 1 continental divide ride per year, wolf creek to Silverton on horseback. 100+ mi in 8 days, not for the faint of heart! Sept: archery/muzzle load hunting for elk and mule deer. Fully-guided or drop camps. Guided or drop camps. Oct-Nov: rifle hunts for elk and mule deer. Guided, self-guided, or drop camps.

Directions

US 160 west out of Pagosa Springs, north on Piedra Rd, 12.7 mi, take Mcmanus Rd on the right, 3.5 mi to resort gate. Piedra Rd is only paved 6.5 mi and then you are on good (but dusty) gravel roads.

Notes

Call for pricing. Accommodations are only in conjunction with pack trips/hunts. We operate out of base camps and sleep in tents.
